Pabahay Socialized Housing Project

This housing program was managed by PRA, then PEA, on behalf of the National Government. This low-cost housing project is a component of the Alabang Stock Farm Project (a land development project of PRA).The developer, Filinvest Alabang, Inc. committed and delivered 21,000 core houses, each unit having a floor area of 21.4 square meters in a lot area of 36.4 square meters.

The housing units are located in the following sites:

  • Gen. Trias, Cavite
  • Dasmariñas, Cavite
  • Tanza, Cavite
  • San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan
  • San Pedro, Laguna
  • Alabang, Muntinlupa City

The housing project in Muntinlupa City is composed of 18 medium-rise buildings with 32 units in each building. It is located within the Filinvest Corporate City and has been utilized as the on-site relocation of the affected families by the development of Alabang Stock Farm Property.

 

This housing program, being managed by PEA in behalf of the national government, is composed of the 21,000 low-cost housing units component of the Alabang Stock Farm Project constructed and delivered by Filinvest Development Corporation. As of December 2003, Filinvest delivered 20,356 units, with a balance of 644 units.  PEA sent request to Filinvest for the completion of delivery. Inventory of units with structural defects is on-going and for evaluation on whether these units are going to be replaced or repaired.

As part of the winding up operations and in accordance with the Memorandum of Agreement with NHA signed in September 2002, the new management is speeding up the turnover of the housing site at Colmenar, Gen.Trias, Cavite otherwise known as Tropical Village with a total of 3,246 housing units to NHA for its management, administration and disposition.

Through PEA’s construction of buildings of other government agencies/offices, PEA has also embarked on the construction of condominium-type residential units along the coastal road called the Coastal Plaza Condominium (CPC).  Initially intended for the urban poor, rising costs and the prime value and location of the property have influenced the redesign of the structures for the middle-income market.

The Coastal Plaza Condominium is comprised of eight (8) four-storey and fully constructed residential buildings. It is accessible from two routes, namely:  Coastal Road through Waste Transfer Station access and Friendship Road, Quirino Avenue, near St. Joseph Parish Church.
